Dale Dykins (1918 – 2009) was an American composer and pianist.  After his death in 2009, the score for his Sonata in A Minor for Violin & Piano was found in a closet.  It is believed that Dykins premiered the Sonata with violinist Milton Weber on July 22, 1951, and then the Sonata was forgotten until after his death.  His surviving partner put up $500 as prize money for the 2013 Burke & Bagley Prize for the best video posted to YouTube of the first movement of the Sonata and this film was the result. This film was made by students at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Music in Moscow, Russia, as their entry in the 2013 Burke & Bagley prize Competition.  The film won the 2013 Burke & Bagley Prize.
